Michael Will is President of the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (BayLDA), a role he has held since 2020 and to which he was reappointed in 2025. Before joining the authority, he led data-protection work at the Bavarian Ministry of the Interior and was involved in Germany’s participation in the EU negotiations on the GDPR.
