AI Act Compliance Management: Coordinating People, Data, and Systems

Format: Workshop · Required preknowledge: Intermediate · Room: EG02 (WS)
Time: 10:45–12:00
Topics: Data Protection & Privacy, AI Governance

AI Act compliance requires a structured conformity assessment (CA) covering all applicable legal frameworks, in particular the GDPR and sectoral legislation such as the Radio Equipment Directive (RED). The CA must address risk management, data governance, technical documentation, human oversight, and post-market monitoring. The workshop works through these requirements using real-world AI system examples and applies both adopted and forthcoming European harmonized standards (EN). These standards provide presumption of conformity and operational guidance at system level (risk management and controls) and organizational level (quality and compliance management). Participants will role play key functions within an organization, legal, compliance, technical, product, and management, and work through the conformity assessment step by step. They will analyze obligations, allocate responsibilities, resolve practical conflicts, and design compliant workflows. The objective is to establish clear, workable procedures for placing AI systems lawfully on the EU market. Basic knowledge of the GDPR and the AI Act is required.
