Topics: Data Protection & Privacy
Privacy regulation, digital literacy and individual safeguards are essential — but they do not by themselves create meaningful digital autonomy. Achieving genuine choice, control and agency may also require rethinking the infrastructure on which digital services are built.
Drawing on early experiments and playful prototypes, this session explores alternative approaches to digital infrastructure designed around agency, care and user control. It examines what these models could offer individuals and organizations, where practical challenges emerge, and what would be required to move beyond awareness and compliance toward more self-determined digital environments.
