As organizations increasingly rely on AI, analytics, product improvement and digital customer engagement, determining the appropriate legal basis under the GDPR has become more challenging than ever.
This interactive workshop explores the practical boundaries between legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and consent. Using real-life use cases and discussion-based scenarios, participants will work through key questions: When are legitimate interests appropriate? When is consent required or preferable? Where are the legal and practical red lines?
The workshop will cover AI development, training and deployment, analytics, direct marketing and product improvement, with a focus on balancing tests, defensible decision-making and practical implementation in day-to-day privacy practice.
Speakers: Tim Schwarz, Agnes Gesell
