European organizations increasingly keep sensitive data within local or sovereign infrastructure — but autonomous AI agents can challenge those boundaries. While processing documents and completing complex tasks, agents may send text fragments or other information to external cloud tools and APIs, potentially involving providers outside the EU or subject to third-country jurisdiction.
This session explores what these autonomous data flows mean for GDPR compliance, international data transfers and the use of subprocessors. It looks at practical approaches such as localized AI deployments, sovereign cloud infrastructure and automated data-loss prevention (DLP) masking, and asks how organizations can benefit from increasingly autonomous AI systems without losing control over where their data goes.
