Women in Privacy: From Statistics to Action

Format: Workshop · Required preknowledge: Beginner · Room: VAW
Time: 14:00–15:00
Topics: Data Protection & Privacy

Women account for 37.90% of lawyers admitted to the German bar, while the proportion of female in-house counsel stands at 59.86%. This contrast raises broader questions about representation, career paths and the structural factors shaping careers in law, privacy and digital governance.

Building on the Women in Privacy webinar series by the KnowledgeNet Chapter Leipzig, this interactive community session moves beyond the statistics. Participants will share experiences, explore what has improved and identify practical ways to create more inclusive, supportive and empowering professional environments.

Rather than a traditional presentation, the session is designed as an open discussion and networking opportunity. Participants of all genders are welcome to contribute to a positive and constructive exchange focused on mutual support, shared learning and meaningful action.
