Carolina is a research fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition and is completing her PhD at LMU Munich, with a dissertation on unlocking the potential of wearable health data under EU law. She has worked on several research projects spanning data governance, privacy and competition law, and has co-authored research on data access rights, particularly under the EU Data Act. She studied law in Ecuador and holds an LL.M. from the Munich Intellectual Property Law Centre (MIPLC), where she also teaches Digital Health Regulation. She speaks English, Spanish and German.
